Lip blush is the best known and arguably most popular spmu lip procedure.
With this method, a shape is drawn out prior to inking so the client knows how the final look will appear.
The lips are numbed, then a liner is tattooed to create a perfect shape/silhouette.
Once the liner is complete, colour is added to the body of the lip . This colour is bespoke - and can be created to match a favourite lipstick and/or lipliner .
The colour starts with heavier saturation by the liner and then is soften - using whip shading to create an ombré or contoured effect.
Healing is pretty quick with the first 3 days being most crucial. The lips will feel dry and chapped so drinking with a straw is recommended in the first instance.
The scabbing should have all come away by day 5.
A second session is required a month later.
If the client is a sufferer from HSV1. the procedure most likely will bring out a cold sore , so I always recommend getting an oral prescription of acyclovir from your gp before your treatment. 4 days before and up to 4 days after the procedure should prevent this happening.
